Senior Software Engineer; Onsite

Location:

Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States.
Role:
Senior Software Engineer (Onsite).
Security clearance:
Secret (Active).
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required.

• Implement AFATDS software capabilities for new or updated requirements.
• Identify, analyze, and remediate bugs in existing AFATDS software.
• Develop future software capabilities involving AI toolsets and algorithms.
• Work with a technical mentor utilizing a defined project plan and milestones.
• Act as a Scrum Master when needed, facilitating agile processes and effective communication.
• Coordinate technical tasks as a sub‑team leader, ensuring program alignment.

• Experience working in a team environment.
• Engage in disciplined engineering challenges and tasks.
• Develop Fire Support Command and Control software in Ada and Java.
• Lead people in an agile development setting.

• Proficiency with build tools/IDEs such as CMake, make, Visual Studio, VS Code.
• Experience using development workflow tools: JIRA, Git, Subversion, Docker, requirements management applications.
• Object‑oriented programming experience with C++ or Java.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a STEM degree, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree in a related field.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
