ABOUT THE JOB

You were born to be the boss. Domino's Pizza is hiring assistant managers. It is a tough job that requires judgment, math, and multitasking. You will supervise and ensure your team and leadership are aligned with company policies and expectations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

• Responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Set the example and follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time; expect the same from your crew.
• Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, scheduling, image and standards adherence, customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Many team members began as delivery drivers and progressed to management or franchise ownership. Opportunities span from delivery driver to management, general manager to franchisee, or Manager Corporate Operations.

General job duties for all store team members:

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.

Training

Orientation and on-the-job training provided.

Communication Skills

• Ability to understand and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (calculator may be used).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal and written communication to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination for precise movements with speed.
• Ability to enter orders using computer keyboard or touch screen.

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.

• In-store temperatures range from 36°F (cooler) to 90°F+ in some areas.
• Sudden changes in temperature in work areas and outdoors.
• Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
• Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

• Talking and hearing on the telephone.
• Near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks.
• Depth perception and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Stand, walk, lift, carry, push, crouch/squat, reach, grip and perform various manual tasks as described below.

• Standing:
  Most tasks are performed in a standing position.
• Walking:
  Short distances for short durations.
• Lifting:
  Up to 50 pounds with cases lifted from floor to shelves up to 72 inches high.
• Carrying:
  Large cans, pizzas, and supplies; occasional heavy lifts as described.
• Pushing/Pulling:
  Move trays and equipment on dollies; some pushing required.
• Climbing:
  Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders to change prices and perform maintenance.

• Deliver product by car and to customer door; deliver flyers and door hangers.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; access to an insured vehicle for delivery.

Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area; ability to navigate multi-story buildings and other sites while carrying product.

• Carrying pizzas and beverages; walking and climbing during delivery.
• Deliver pizzas within a designated area; multiple deliveries per shift.
• Walking between store, vehicle, and customer locations; climbing stairs during delivery as needed.

Exposure to varying weather conditions during delivery and driving.

Far vision and night vision for driving.
