Customer Logistics Manager (Transportation/Fleet Management)
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible)
Travel: 10–20% (weekly travel to Dayton)
Compensation: Exempt / Salary paid twice per month; annual range $65,000 – $70,000 based on experience.
Core Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day operations within the assigned transport/fleet function.
- Manage driver operations, scheduling, and performance of all direct reports.
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and manage expectations.
- Develop and maintain exempt and non‑exempt employees, provide staffing performance management.
- Plan and schedule daily logistics activities, including route management and supplier parts pick‑up.
- Maintain health, safety, and regulatory compliance (state/local/federal).
- Respond to off‑shift critical customer network disruptions or crisis situations.
- Provide other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work within international functional teams.
- High‑level analytical skills for complex problem solving.
- Professional technical skills related to logistics.
- Flexible, self‑driven, and able to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time‑management, organization, and multi‑tasking capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Advanced knowledge of logistics industry, regulations, and supply‑chain management.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
- At least two years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Minimum one year of direct supervisory or leadership experience.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and logistics industry knowledge.
- Understanding of local and federal regulations affecting customer operations.
- Intermediate knowledge of supply‑chain management fundamentals.
