Position Summary
Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a semi‑tractor trailer vehicle for the loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.
Responsibilities- Operate the shuttle vehicle safely on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and vehicle positions.
- Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
- Communicate via cellular telephone or 2‑way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, follow loading crew signals, and place safety wheel chocks to prevent trailer movement. Provide special care when using pup trailers and ensure jack stands are properly installed or notify the customer if missing.
- Properly use airline, electrical hookups, and backing procedures.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform minor maintenance and inspections of equipment daily.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.
- Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of verified tractor‑trailer experience within the last 4 years.
- Clean driving record.
- Meet DOT physical requirements and maintain a valid medical certificate.
- Pass road and backing test during onboarding.
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures in the warehouse, ranging from mild to moderate, in warmer and colder months.
- Basic computer skills.
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Basic math.
- Ability to read and follow manufacturer instruction manuals.
- Deliver tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently or within a group.
- Minimum supervision or guidance required.
- Adaptiveness to change and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

- Reach above shoulder, squat or kneel.
The employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
CompensationExpected base pay range is $28.50 – $30.50 per hour.
