Delivery Driver - 3rd Shift

Position Summary

As a Delivery Driver for Omnicare Pharmacy, you will deliver prescription orders and/or products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule. Delivery Drivers ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met while demonstrating ethical conduct and maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products, and supplies to long-term care facilities or patients' homes.
• Load products and materials into the delivery vehicle in a safe and orderly manner.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance schedule and alert management of any issues.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain the highest professional and ethical standards.
• Log deliveries and return accompanying documents as appropriate.
• Confirm correct medication is in the correct shipment packaging for each facility.
• Use mobile phones and navigation applications to follow the designated route.
• Deploy alternative delivery methods in emergency situations and maintain safe operation of all delivery vehicles.
• Drive for long periods of time as required by the schedule.

• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
• Active listening skills and ability to understand points being made.
• Judgment ability to recognize potential problems and choose the best course of action.
• Customer service orientation.
• Geographical knowledge of the service area.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Current, valid driver's license in the state at the level required for the vehicle's operation.
• Ability to drive for long periods of time.

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry.
