Delivery Driver

Position Summary

As a Delivery Driver for Omnicare Pharmacy, you will deliver prescription orders and/or products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule. Delivery drivers ensure timely, safe, and confidential delivery of medication and supplies to long‑term care facilities and patients’ homes, while maintaining vehicle and compliance with all regulatory standards.

• Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products, and/or supplies to long‑term care facilities or patients’ homes.
• Load products and materials for delivery into the vehicle in a safe and orderly fashion.
• Maintain vehicle, ensuring it is in safe operating condition and report maintenance issues to management.
• Log deliveries and return accompanying documents as required.
• Confirm correct medication is in correct shipment packaging for the facility.
• Use mobile phones and basic Internet applications for route navigation and GPS functions.
• Deploy alternative delivery methods in emergency situations.
• Adhere to all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to protect patient confidentiality.
• Drive for long periods of time.

Full vaccination against COVID‑19 is mandatory before the start date.

• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• Current, valid driver’s license in the state required for the vehicle’s operation.
• Ability to drive for long periods of time.
• Ability to concentrate and not be distracted while performing tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Active listening and ability to understand points being made.
• Judgment to identify potential problems and choose appropriate actions.

• Geographical knowledge of service area.

• Maintain and full compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

• Prior experience in the long‑term care industry.

Pay range: $16.00 – $23.56 per hour
