What You’ll Do On a Typical Day:- Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on necessary aspects of Federal and state transportation regulations.
- Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on necessary aspects of Buchanan safety policies/practices.
- Specifically, during Orientation for Road Testing, Pre and Post Equipment Inspections.
- Proper load securement including understanding of BHRI policies and procedures.
- Documentation and route preparation/review (permits, measurements, etc.).
- Smith System Defensive Driving training.
- Assist drivers with inspection of newly issued equipment (tarps, chains, etc.).
- Develop and conduct training for drivers and non-driving staff on post-accident training.
- Conduct documentation and training audits. Ensure corrective action is taken to remedy deficiencies/findings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Knowledge of federal and state Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Carrier regulations.
- Experience developing / conducting training programs.
- Current Homeland Security TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credentials), preferred.
- FMCSA Reasonable Suspicion training/certificate, preferred.
- Experience with Loading/Unloading/Securement of Heavy Equipment.
