Job Summary:

The Logistics Operator verifies parts and packs them using a variety of packing materials and methods. The Logistics Operator creates the manifest for shipment with the carrier, creates shipping paperwork, and arranges carrier pick‑up if needed. This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager. Responsible for promoting ana environment of lean efficiency, continuous improvement and support for strategic value stream goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Match finished good sand parts with documentation and check correct type and quantity being shipped
  • Utilize hand tools, light power tools and other special equipment to build protective packaging; may receive direction in the form of verbal or written work to complete assigned work
  • Pack shipping cartons with parts in compliance with standard work to prevent damage and/or excess costs
  • Accurately generate carrier shipping labels and shipping documents
  • Stage outbound shipments by carrier
  • Follow work instructions and training guides
  • Follow safety rules and wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • All other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School education or an equivalence of a G.E.D. required
  • Required experience or abilities to carry out the Logistics Operator Responsibilities
  • Shipping or receiving experience a plus

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move items (typically up to 50 lbs).
  • Use hands and arms to handle or operate tools and equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
