Position: Warehouse/Inventory/Forklift job in the Fort Wayne, IN, Direct client, Long term

Overview

Stores Attendant-B (Warehouse/Inventory) – Fort Wayne, IN. Direct client, long-term assignment. Duration: 12 Months. Pay Rate: $22/hr on W2.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, OT as needed.

Responsibilities

Issue material with proper authorization and process required records; perform picking up, hauling, and delivering materials; operate company automotive equipment as needed.

Check received material for quantity and condition; initiate and process material receipt and related records.

Identify, sort, and record material returned; place usable material in stock and classify non-usable material as scrap; record applicable information.

Maintain materials management system using computer terminals and related office equipment (printers, scanners, etc.).

Prepare and pack material for shipment or storage, including required shipping documents; handle hazardous materials according to safety and environmental procedures when applicable.

Operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, forklifts, low lift trucks, hoists, overhead cranes, order pickers, etc.) as required.

Assist supervisor with maintaining efficient storage, reorganizing bins and racks, and updating material locations.

Maintain adequate inventory levels through cycle counts; perform discrepancy adjustments with appropriate approvals and document all records.

Assist employees of equal or higher classification; perform similar or less skilled work as needed.

Adhere to company safety rules and operating regulations; perform duties with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum 1 year in inventory control/management, material handling, warehousing, or related field.
Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management software (e.g., Maximo) and Microsoft Excel/Word preferred.
Strong communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to operate material handling equipment incl. motorized forklifts and road vehicles.
Physical requirements:

ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds; ability to work in indoor/outdoor environments and all weather conditions; pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
Valid state driver’s license. If CDL is required, it must be obtained within six months or role may be vacated.
