Highland Cinema is recruiting a full time Front of House Duty Manager to join its leadership team in Fort William.

This is not a junior hospitality role. This is one of three key Duty Managers responsible for leading shifts, managing teams and protecting the customer experience in one of the Highlands’ most distinctive venues.

The role
  • Leading, motivating and managing the Front of House crew including bar, box office and floor staff.
  • Ensuring day to day operations run smoothly across all public areas.
  • Delivering excellent customer service and handling escalated queries or complaints professionally.
  • Taking a hands on approach, adapting staffing and operations to maintain standards under pressure.
  • Opening and closing the building in line with security, cash handling and cleaning procedures.
  • Maintaining strict stock control and supporting ordering and stock takes.
  • Supporting events and wider cinema operations as required.
  • Assisting with recruitment, induction and training of new crew members.
  • Upholding health, safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Working pattern
  • Minimum 30 hours per week over five days.
  • Evening and weekend work required.
  • Permanent position based in Fort William.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Confidence to act as the senior manager on site when required.
  • A flexible, adaptable and can do attitude.
  • Clear communication skills and professional maturity.
  • Bar or barista training preferred, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
