Meter Reader

Job Overview

We are hiring Meter Readers in your area. No experience required. This is a part‑time role with flexible schedule.

• Collect data from gas, electricity and water meters for both commercial and residential properties.
• Enter meter reads accurately on a handheld device at each location.
• Carry out visual inspections of associated metering equipment.
• Complete Charge Point Surveys and other routine checks.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.

• Manual UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year, maximum 6 points, no DR offences; licence not required in some London areas).
• Physically fit – able to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs, crouch, and walk 4–5 miles per day.
• Happy to work in all weather conditions.
• Clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions).
• Credit Report check (no recent debt or court judgments).
• 5 years employment history.
• Previous customer service experience preferred (not essential).

• £13.23 – £13.50 per hour basic pay (weekly payment).
• 20–25 hours per week with flexible start and finish times (Monday – Friday, 8am‑8pm).
• Bonus scheme with earnings up to £2,000 monthly.
• Overtime rates (£16 – £25) at manager's discretion.

Training is 1 week and will be both classroom‑based and field‑based with an experienced meter reader, covering all aspects of the role.
