Position: Revenue Accountant - On-Site - Ft. Worth (95k-105k)

LHH is seeking a Revenue Accountant on behalf of a privately held energy company. This company is known for its hands‑on approach to operations and its commitment to accuracy in financial reporting. They are seeking a Revenue Accountant with 5+ years of upstream oil and gas experience to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with strong revenue accounting knowledge and familiarity with operated and non‑operated properties.

The ideal candidate will have experience in monthly revenue processing, production allocations, royalty owner payments, and regulatory reporting. Familiarity with Wolfe Pak and advanced Excel skills are highly desired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly revenue for operated and non-operated oil and gas assets in accordance with internal procedures and deadlines.
  • Accurately set up and maintain property records in the accounting system for acquisitions, sales, transfers, and disposals.
  • Review and analyze production volume reports to calculate revenue allocations and generate accurate revenue entries.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly revenue accruals, and analyze actuals against accruals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments of oil and gas revenue to royalty and working interest owners.
  • Manage and resolve suspended royalty balances, including documentation and journal entries to clear accounts.
  • Prepare and file state and federal royalty reports, production reports, and severance tax filings, including submissions to the State of Texas.
  • Assist in entering run ticket and production data into accounting systems (e.g., Wolfe Pak).
  • Respond to inquiries from royalty owners and other stakeholders regarding revenue payments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments such as accounting, land, and operations to ensure accuracy and compliance in revenue processes.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of revenue accounting experience in the upstream oil and gas industry is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of oil and gas accounting, operations, and industry terminology.
  • Experience with Wolfe Pak accounting software is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel, including the ability to work with large data sets for analysis and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply accounting principles and revenue accounting procedures accurately.
