Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the monthly closing and account reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and analysis, coordination of the annual review and compliance filings, and monitoring internal controls.

• Assist with the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year-end functions of the accounting department and facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
• Create and perform daily / monthly account reconciliations including cash accounts, inventory, accrued liabilities.
• Monthly variance analysis as assigned.
• Support A/R and A/P functions.
• Manage timely payments to freight vendors.
• Maintain monthly capital expenditures report, fixed asset list and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare Inventory and Manufacturing Costing reports and review variances

• 4+ years of Accounting/Finance experience with well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization.
• Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
• Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Technology savvy with experience and knowledge of ERP systems (Net Suite preferred) and Microsoft Office. Advanced excel skills such as v-lookup and pivot tables, data query or report-writing experience preferred.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Understanding of plant cost accounting preferred
