We are seeking an experienced Director of Acounting in Fort Worth to lead a growing Manufacturing organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This strategic leadership role will oversee accounting activities across four legal entities operating throughout the United States, Canada, and Latin America while ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Lead all accounting operations across four legal entities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including consolidations and reporting to the global parent organization.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting governance.
- Lead the multi-entity consolidation process across North American and Latin American operations.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reporting packages for Group Finance.
- Ensure accurate intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations.
- Reconcile local statutory reporting with consolidated financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee accounting compliance across operations in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
- Partner with Tax and external advisors on cross-border accounting matters.
- Monitor financial, regulatory, foreign currency, and operational risks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support the organization's transition into manufacturing operations.
- Develop inventory accounting, standard costing, and cost accounting processes.
- Oversee capital expenditure accounting and fixed asset capitalization.
- Partner with Operations to ensure successful financial integration of manufacturing activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Establish performance expectations, coaching plans, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement culture.
- Drive enhancements to accounting systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
- Improve close efficiency, reporting accuracy, and data integrity.
- Standardize accounting procedures across multiple entities and geographic regions.
- Lead special projects and strategic finance initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience leading multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations.
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing external audits and regulatory compliance.
- Strong ERP system experience within a multi-entity environment; SAP experience preferred.
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
