For a growing manufacturing company based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, dedicated to innovation, quality, and operational excellence. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team to support our manufacturing operations.
Position OverviewExciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical team player to join the accounting team as a Staff Accountant. This role will assist with all aspects of the financial accounting process including general ledger, insurance accounting, fixed assets, financial reporting, and various other aspects of the business cycle. The staff accountant will partner closely with internal departments to ensure that accounts are properly recorded and improve profitability and efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Journal entries, Reconcile Subledgers to the GL.
- Compile information for internal accounting, AP, AR and Cash dashboards. Prepare supporting schedules for entries across the accounting cycle, Cash accounting and reconciliations, and Sales & use tax reporting.
- Assist with managing the monthly closing process, and managerial reporting.
- Assist with developing improved processes and technical add-ons.
- Provide support for annual audits and regulatory reporting.
- Prepare Insurance reporting to underwriter partners.
- Validating Data between systems and related integrations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is a must have.
- Minimum 5 years GL accounting experience with some Payroll and knowledge of GAAP with manufacturing/distribution experience.
- High proficiency in Excel (V‑Lookups, Pivot Tables, Macros) is a must as well as proficiency in MS Office including Microsoft D365, experience with Microsoft BI is a BONUS.
- Excellent communication, research, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive as a self‑starter in a start‑up environment.
- Must be able to analyze data, identify and draw logical conclusions, recommendations from the data, and resolve the data issues and anomalies.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month‑end/year‑end close process and knowledge of financial statements.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills along with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and focus on collaboration with other divisions and excellent customer service.
- Must be able to work in U.S. without sponsorship.
- CPA, CMA, or working toward certification
