Cost Accounting Manager

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting activities and partner with operations to improve financial visibility across the business. Responsibilities

• Lead all cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation and product costing.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory movements, and production costs.
• Partner with plant operations to improve cost controls and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Maintain standard costs and support periodic cost updates.
• Oversee inventory reconciliations, cycle count programs, and physical inventories.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare management reporting and provide analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities.
• Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes.
• Partner with leadership on special projects and business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required.
• CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
