Senior Accountant Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to process improvements in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Month-End Close- Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Analyze financial results and research account variances to ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure accounting records comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting requirements.
- Monitor financial data and provide analysis to support business decision‑making.
- Maintain organized accounting records and work papers for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing requested documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting documentation to support financial reporting.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and strengthen accounting controls.
- Assist with accounting system implementations, ERP upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and data accuracy.
- Support special accounting projects and other finance initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
- Experience with:
- Month-end close processes
- Journal entries and accruals
- General ledger accounting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting reporting deadlines.
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, system upgrades, or accounting software conversions.
- CPA designation or active CPA candidacy.
- Experience with enterprise accounting or financial reporting systems.
