Position Overview: Crow Precision Components is seeking a hands-on, operationally minded Financial Controller based in-person at our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX.
Reporting directly to the Division General Manager, the Controller will direct all day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for the division. This role serves as a key financial and operational business partner to plant leadership, driving cost discipline, inventory integrity, and actionable manufacturing analytics.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Control & Accounting Operations:
Direct month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger maintenance, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, treasury/cash management, and payroll. - Cost Accounting & Inventory Integrity:
Manage plant cost accounting systems, bill of materials (BOM) costing, standard cost development, variance analysis (labor, material, overhead absorption), and physical inventory reconciliations. - Compliance & Internal Controls:
Maintain a rigorous, documented system of internal accounting controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) compliant with US GAAP and defense manufacturing/regulatory requirements. - ERP Optimization:
Serve as the financial subject matter expert for the ERP system (Epicor 10), driving data integrity, process automation, and streamlined manufacturing reporting. - Budgeting, Forecasting & Analytics:
Partner with operational leadership to lead annual operating budgets, rolling financial forecasts, and KPI tracking to support margin improvement and production efficiency. - Audit & Tax Coordination:
Serve as the primary plant point of contact for corporate parent reporting, external financial audits, and external tax advisors. - Plant Administration & Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the site accounting team. Oversee site-level HR administration, including employee onboarding/offboarding workflows, benefits coordination, and timekeeping.
- Education & Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or CMA preferred. - Experience:
7+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, with at least 2-3 years leading plant-level accounting teams. - Industry Background:
Demonstrated experience in discrete manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial production with strong, practical knowledge of standard cost accounting. - ERP & Systems:
Hands-on experience with manufacturing ERP systems (Epicor 10 preferred; SAP, Infor, or similar ERP experience strongly considered) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, financial modeling). - Technical Acumen:
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, percentage-of-completion/revenue recognition, cost absorption, and inventory valuation. - Compliance:
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident) due to ITAR compliance requirements across WHI facilities.
