Corporate Safety Coordinator - Fort Worth, TX
The Corporate Safety Coordinator involves a wide range of activities such as coordinating the compliance monitoring process, preparing compliance reports, and a wide variety of administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepares and submits DOT and OSHA reports.
- Oversee full fleet asset lifecycle management, including vehicle and equipment purchasing, titling, registration, permitting, compliance documentation, and asset sale/disposal.
- Review and run reports such as fuel, mileage, and preventative maintenance etc.
- Analyzing information gathering, organization, multi-tasking, coordinating tasks with other groups both internal and external, good writing and computer applications skills are required.
- Reviews research for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Ensure Driver Qualification files are complete and updated as required by FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Manages Auto Liability and General Liability claims, ensuring that reporting, correspondence, and time limit requirements are met.
- Manage annual and periodic compliance requirements such as annual motor vehicle reports (MVR) and annual limited queries (FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse).
- Communicates routinely with all pertinent parties regarding liability claims including outside adjusters.
- Assists in special projects assigned by the Director of Safety.
- Ability to understand data and create reports to visualize data using Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office software.
- Proficient knowledge of computers and typical production software (MS Office).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive issues with integrity.
- Keen attention to detail and extremely well organized with focus on accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/ExperienceHigh school diploma, 2-5 years of Safety and/or DOT & OSHA compliance experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to respond to constantly changing environment, ability to meet deadlines and the ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen. Logistics and oilfield/natural gas/fracturing experience is beneficial.
Language AbilityAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to vendors or employees of organization.
Math AbilityAbility to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, define and solve problems, respond to rapidly changing circumstances, problem solving skills.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
Samsara software experience is a plus
None required, preferred certificates of training in DOT, OSHA or Insurance Claims.
