Library Circulation Student Assistant - noon

Position Summary

This position requires working Monday through Thursday, noon to 5pm.

• Provide clerical and receptionist support for the West library.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Process incoming and outgoing materials.
• Provide basic computer and copier assistance.
• Shelve books and materials.
• Inventory books and materials to maintain good order of the stacks.
• Clean throughout the library.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be proactive and able to engage with a diverse constituency.
• Demonstrate decision-making and problem‑solving skills.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college preferred.
• Computer experience.
• Experience in a higher education setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including filing.
