OverviewThe Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory movement across multiple locations to prevent lost sales and production delays. This role involves processing inventory transactions, assisting with audits, and supporting accurate inventory control through data entry, reporting, and collaboration with various departments.
Key Responsibilities Data Entry & Inventory ManagementAccurately input and maintain inventory data in the dealership management system (e.g., Sys2K, CDK).
Monitor and update product descriptions, pricing, and stock levels.
Reconcile discrepancies in inventory records; notify management of inconsistencies.
Assist in monthly inventory closings and reconcile schedules as required.
Maintain consistency and accuracy in part numbers, vendor data, and system entries.
Process inbound inventory, transfers, and purchase orders across multiple locations.
Track incoming shipments, confirm deliveries with vendors, and update system records.
Support backorder management and vendor communication to ensure timely fulfillment.
Reporting & Quality ControlRun weekly/monthly reports to monitor inventory trends and part usage.
Participate in inventory audits and floor plan checks.
Identify database errors and work to correct data discrepancies.
Build custom reports to improve purchasing accuracy and inventory visibility.
Customer & Team SupportProvide inventory support to internal departments such as service and parts.
Respond to inquiries regarding inventory availability and pricing.
Support interdepartmental collaboration and contribute to inventory process improvements.
Assist with training initiatives for inventory best practices.
Follow office workflow procedures to support operational efficiency.
Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and update accounting systems as directed.
Ensure documentation is organized, filed, and easily retrievable for audit purposes.
Preferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience with dealership systems (Sys2K, CDK, Motility) strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Calendar).
Familiarity with inventory processes in RV, automotive, or powersports industries.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Level 4+ preferred).
Experience in inventory control, parts management, or related data entry roles.
Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
