D. Lewis Health Science Library supports the education, research, patient care, and community service missions of University of North Texas Health Fort Worth (UNTH) by meeting the information needs of faculty, students, staff, and the local health sciences community.

D. Lewis Library at UNT Health Fort Worth is hiring a part-time Building Library Specialist. In this role, you'll support Lewis
D. Gibson Library through daily building checks, conducting space studies, and serve as a key liaison between library administration, campus partners, and building occupants.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well independently, brings positive energy, and is very detailed oriented.
This position is temporary, with an end date of 08/31/2027 with the possibility of a one-year extension at Gibson
D. Lewis Library's sole discretion.
- Experience with managing library spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.

- Communicates with library staff regarding open and closed work orders.
- Creates signage for building patrons to convey closings or other issues.
- Liaises with facilities and custodial - meeting regularly with custodial to cover cleaning issues of the library.
- Collates building statistics.
- Conducts space surveys.
- Submits work orders and tracks through completion.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
- Sets cleaning days each year to take care of cleaning not covered by custodial.
- Provides building reports to Library Administration.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Part-time with a maximum of 19 hours per week. All work will occur Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with some flexibility regarding exact days and times within these traditional business hours.
