Executive Assistant To The CEO

Are you the person executives rely on when something mission-critical needs to get done? The person who thrives at the intersection of execution and problem-solving? Who sees five competing priorities and immediately knows what needs to happen first? Who gets genuine satisfaction from being able to say, "It's handled"?

We're looking for an Executive Assistant to CEO to join us at Catholic Charities Fort Worth. You'll have a front-row seat to executive decision-making, organizational strategy, and the day-to-day realities of leading a dynamic, evidence-backed nonprofit.

You might be a fit if you are...

  • Proactive and independent
  • Analytical and focused on results
  • Highly organized, but not paralyzed by perfectionism
  • Driven by deadlines and a sense of urgency
  • The person others trust when the stakes are high

What's in it for you?

  • Meaningful Exposure:
Work directly with executive leadership on key priorities. For someone who aspires to lead a mission-driven organization one day, few roles offer a better vantage point.
  • Real Impact:
Support innovative, research-backed solutions that help families achieve lasting stability and move out of poverty for good.

Executive Operations

  • Independently manage and triage the CEO's email inbox, ensuring timely responses, exercising judgment to flag strategic priorities, and maintaining executive-level communication standards.

  • Orchestrate and "run the day" for the CEO, including ensuring smooth meeting transitions, keeping schedules on track, and proactively preparing materials and briefing documents before each meeting.
  • Manage complex, high-volume calendars for the CEO, making autonomous decisions regarding scheduling, prioritization of requests and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Strategic Support

  • Anticipate needs of CEO by monitoring workloads, deadlines, and key priorities, proactively identifying risks, conflicts or preparation needs to ensure the leaders are fully briefed and equipped for upcoming commitments.
  • Serve as a strategic gatekeeper, protecting executive time while maintaining strong relationships across the organization and making determinations regarding access, timing, and follow-up.

Governance Entities Strategy & Engagement

  • Serve as the operational owner for governance processes—anticipating needs, maintaining cadence, and ensuring all governance activities occur on time, with excellence, and with minimal direction required from the CEO.
  • Prompt the CEO to prepare meeting agendas and materials in advance, maintaining a smooth planning cadence so executives don't need to manage the process themselves.
  • Provide comprehensive support for all governance meetings, including preparing meeting spaces, managing technology needs, taking clear and actionable notes, and documenting decisions and follow‑up tasks.

Project Management Strategic Support

  • Support the implementation of project management best practices for cross‑functional initiatives led by the CEO, exercising judgment to organize work streams, timelines, and alignment across teams.
  • Own logistics, coordination, and document preparation for project management meetings.
