Position OverviewThis position provides essential administrative support to University Christian Church's Student Ministry, helping create an organized, welcoming and positive experience for students, parents, volunteers and staff. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, resourceful and able to manage multiple priorities while building positive relationships with a diverse group of people. Flexibility, a good sense of humor and a willingness to jump in and help are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Provide administrative support to for Student Ministry.
- Create and manage registration & payment processes for camps, retreats, service-learning trips and special events for Student Ministry programs and events.
- Coordinate event and travel reservations and assist with trip budgets and logistics.
- Maintain and update student information in the church database, Shelby Next.
- Coordinate and distribute communications, including e-newsletters, mailers, posters, social media content and event materials.
- Schedule rooms and events on the church calendar for Student Ministry programs and activities.
- Coordinate appreciation letters for student ministry volunteers, camp postcards and student birthday cards.
- Maintain current Student Ministry information on the church website.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with staff, students, parents and member volunteers.
- Completion of High School required.
- Two years of administrative experience preferred; relevant experience in a church, nonprofit, school or other service-oriented organization is a plus.
- College or Technical degree and/or non-profit experience a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office
365 and comfort learning church database, registration and communication systems. - Hours:
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-TH; 8:30 a.m. to 4:00
