Overview
Drive Time Family of Brands, headquartered in Tempe, AZ, and Dallas, TX, is the largest privately owned used‑car sales finance and servicing company in the United States.
Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and perform advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance on Drive Time inventory vehicles.
- Conduct emissions testing applicable to state inspections.
- Move vehicles and manage inventory.
- Document all work performed in Drive Time systems.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re‑work and delays in production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area to meet compliance standards.
- Proficient in automotive repairs and troubleshooting basic automotive concerns.
- Strong communication skills to explain causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issues.
- Ability to meet metric performance targets and learn basic computer systems.
- Organized, punctual, and capable of maintaining a safe, compliant workspace.
- Commitment to learning and complying with all Drive Time standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certificate or Associate’s degree in automotive technology or equivalent work experience (3+ years) in automotive repair.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Minimum age 18.
- English language proficiency for effective communication within a safety‑sensitive/technical environment.
- Lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights.
- Lift and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
- Stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in a varied environment (cold, hot, noisy, wet, fumes).
- Maintain excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Use safety equipment (face shield, goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments).
- Some driving and frequent typing required; regular and predictable attendance required.
