Business Systems Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mortgage Business Systems Analyst to join our growing team. This role is responsible for evaluating, documenting, and enhancing business processes and systems within our mortgage operations—specifically supporting the wholesale lending channel. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that system enhancements and process improvements align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

• Partner with business and technology teams to define, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Support and enhance the Loan Origination System (LOS) through configuration, testing, and implementation of new functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and improved efficiency within wholesale mortgage operations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
• Develop clear documentation, including process flows, business rules, and user guides.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate functionality and ensure quality delivery.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on mortgage processes and system functionality.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, with a strong understanding of wholesale lending operations.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a mortgage or financial services environment.
• Deep understanding of the loan lifecycle, from application through post-closing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Meridian Link LOS or other Loan Origination Systems (e.g., Encompass, Blue Sage).
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience collaborating within Agile teams.
• Familiarity with system integrations, workflow design, and data mapping
