Job Overview:
The Junior Business Analyst will support the Business Analyst in the Client Services department, interacting with key users to support analysis and reporting needs, including production, ad-hoc, and manual reporting. The role involves assisting with analyzing information needs and recommending solutions to improve efficiency, and working with the Data Steward and Business Analyst to identify enhancements to the reporting environment (MORIS Data Mart, Remarketing Data Mart, Data Warehouse) using formal system development methods.
Responsibilities- Review daily, weekly, and monthly manual reports produced by DIAA Reporting Analysts and Business Analyst Team for accuracy and resolve issues as needed.
- Publish reports to customers based on distribution lists. (5%)
- Collaborate with Business Analyst to review customer reporting requests and translate them into physical forms, defining measures, dimensions, and layout. (15%)
- Provide ad hoc reports and report development; assess priority with Business Analyst. (25%)
- Attend project meetings at customer request and provide analysis or information required by the customer. (25%)
- Assess requests and provide ad hoc reporting (using BI tools including Cognos, Power Play, Access, SQL, Excel) and analysis; work with Business Analyst to determine priority. (25%)
- Trouble shoot issues with report and data integrity as needed. (25%)
- Assist with special initiatives/projects related to MBFS initiatives.
- Represent reporting during participation on key project initiatives.
- Work with Business Analyst to identify data gaps and coordinate with the Data Analyst team to incorporate needed information into the data warehouse during quarterly IT updates. (15%)
- Work with Business Analyst to provide analytical and consulting engagements within the functional areas of reporting responsibility (e.g., MB ART, Titles, Dealer Services).
- Identify key opportunities through process mapping or data analysis to reduce or eliminate redundant reporting.
- Reduce the number of manually generated reports through automation. (15%)
