Job Summary
:
American Airlines is seeking an Analyst/Sr Analyst for their AA Vacations Strategy and Analytics team within the Commercial Division. The role focuses on identifying opportunities through data analysis and collaborating with cross-functional partners to enhance strategies that drive customer and financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
:
• Understands critical drivers of performance and creates reporting and dashboards to help leadership identify opportunities for improvement
• Work closely with cross functional teams (including IT and Accounting) to ensure we are working toward our broader team objectives and key results
• Own and deliver regular weekly and monthly reports to the Vacations leadership team and wider group
• Lead the development of self-service reporting and analysis by creating and owning business reports, adding value to the AA Vacations BI portfolio
• Identify opportunities and architect the plan to improve current processes
• Develop data-driven recommendations to support strategies for financial and customer outcomes, including pricing, campaigns, and business cases
Qualifications
:
Required
:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years related experience
• Experience in interpreting and manipulating data and presenting it in an easily explainable format
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability in proactively identifying procedural gaps and implementing solutions
• BI Platforms:
Cognos / Tableau / Power BI (Tableau preferable)
• SQL
• Teradata (highly regarded)
• Microsoft Office
• Excel (Intermediate)
• Outlook
• Dynamics (highly regarded)
• Power Automate (highly regarded)
Preferred
:
• Master’s degree in related field
