Third‑Party Logistics (3PL) Onsite Manager – Columbus, OH

Job Summary

The 3PL Onsite Manager ensures that inventory is accurately maintained and distributed in a compliant, timely, and efficient manner. Primary areas of focus are monitoring, reporting and enhancing performance through key operational metrics and face‑to‑face supplier relationship management. Stationed onsite at the supplier’s warehouse, the role engages with warehouse staff to drive continuous improvement across distribution activities including dock‑to‑stock, inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and OTIF, collaborating with the Supply Chain team to identify opportunities and provide lasting improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary Distribution liaison to the consumer 3PL partners, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and consistently met.
  • Daily monitor 3PL systems and produce reporting, maintaining close communication with the 3PL to ensure high‑level performance and customer satisfaction. Identify potential service disruptions and triage/escalate as appropriate.
  • Lead regular business review meetings with the 3PL to align service expectations and performance to SLA, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand complex customer requirements (labeling, picking, lot‑number control, product dating) and design new processes or align existing ones to satisfy them.
  • Manage the contractual relationship between Galderma and its warehouse partners including consumer goods and sample warehouses. Handle warehouse costs, contract negotiations, and volume commitments.
  • Provide monthly cost follow‑ups to stakeholders, deliver trend analysis, and identify savings opportunities.
  • Forecast capacity utilization and distribution needs using business plans and growth targets. Present business cases for process and system enhancements to all levels of management.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process review, stakeholder engagement, and best‑practice implementation to reduce cost, improve service level, capacity, productivity, and quality.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy across the warehouse network through robust processes, daily reconciliation, and KPI reporting.
  • Oversee key processes including returned goods processing, receiving, pick‑line set‑up, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and product tracking in accordance with company guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, supply chain, or 3PL account management.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical, cosmetics, OTC distribution and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDP, FEFO).
  • Demonstrated success managing vendor performance or serving as primary operational liaison with external partners.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority.
  • Preferred experience supporting or managing 3PL, familiarity with cosmetics and OTC distribution.
  • APICS / ASCM Certification in Supply Chain Management or other professional designation.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000 USD. Base salary depends on accountabilities, skills, experience, certifications, location, and market rates.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary and an annual short‑term incentive program tied to corporate performance and individual performance. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) plan with employer match, a generous paid time‑off policy, hybrid work schedules, and more.
