The Product Manager is responsible for driving both product development and product marketing, with a strong emphasis on market engagement and customer insight.

This is a highly field-oriented role
, requiring regular interaction with end users, distributors, and construction sites to gather insights, validate product performance, and identify new opportunities.

This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle, from idea generation through launch and market adoption, working cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, and Marketing to deliver impactful, market-driven solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Actively engage with end users and contractors in the field to gather insights, validate product concepts, and identify unmet market needs
  • Translate local market feedback into actionable inputs for the global R&D pipeline and validate global product initiatives for local market fit
  • Own and drive the New Product Development (NPD) pipeline
    , developing products based on market needs, opportunities, and strategic direction from leadership; partner closely with R&D to bring new products to market and improve market share
  • Conduct hands‑on product testing in real‑world environments
    , including construction sites, to ensure product performance, usability, and alignment with customer expectations
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally
    , influencing product development, innovation, and go‑to‑market strategies
  • Perform project management duties including coordinating and communicating project timelines and status to maintain project schedules; set deadlines, monitor, and summarize progress; prepare status reports; and ensure adherence to internal product launch processes across cross‑functional teams
  • Train end users, distributors, and internal personnel on proper application techniques through in‑person and virtual demonstrations
  • Manage quality assurance processes by receiving, documenting, and submitting product claims to headquarters
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation (TDS, SDS) and partner with the Headquarters Compliance Team to ensure adherence to local chemical regulations
  • Utilize the Selena PIM system to manage and maintain accurate product information
  • Support trade marketing efforts, including trade shows, product demonstrations, and marketing communications
  • Communicate with co‑workers, management, staff, customers, and external partners in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Comply with all local regulations, company policies, work procedures, and safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment in a proficient manner.

Education and Experience Required
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Management
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Experience in the construction adhesives/foam insulation industry a plus
Physical Demands/Work Environment Conditions
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
  • Willing to build product demonstrations out of typical construction materials
  • Willing to test products on construction sites and at the local Selena USA Training Center
  • Demonstrates high energy and drive to succeed
