FM is establishing a structured Custom Content offering across all three licensing brands to deliver original, commissioned work for clients whose needs go beyond existing content.
The Head of Custom Content will establish and lead FM's commissioned-work function across Film supply, Stills, and Musicbed. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Production, and Marketing, and holds end-to-end ownership of every custom project. This role blends sales and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will act as a senior producer with strong sales insight, confidently engaging in client meetings, budget discussions, and production talks.
What You’ll DoClient Engagement
Assume ownership of qualified custom opportunities handed over by Sales, and manage the client relationship through scope, contract, production, and delivery.
Lead discovery conversations to translate creative briefs into clearly defined, profitable, deliverable projects.
Serve as the single point of contact for clients throughout each project's lifecycle.
Develop long-term client relationships that convert one-off engagements into recurring custom partnerships.
Collaborate with Sales to identify custom-ready opportunities within the existing client base.
Co-lead pitches on complex or high-value deals where production expertise is required.
Develop the pitch materials, scoping frameworks, and pricing models that enable Sales to position custom work effectively.
Drive independent outbound activity, building a pipeline of target accounts, agencies, and production partners.
Match each project in cooperation with A&R with the appropriate filmmaker, photographer, or composer from FM's creative network, based on craft, availability, and commercial fit.
Oversee production end-to-end, including pre-production, execution, post-production, and delivery.
Establish and document repeatable processes that allow scaling as volume grows.
Align multiple stakeholders across client organizations
Balance competing priorities across regions, teams, and use cases
Maintain momentum across long, complex deal cycles
Stay ahead of trends in content, production, and brand storytelling
Bring perspective on how enterprise brands are evolving their content strategies
Represent FM as a leader in high-quality, authentic creative
You consistently uncover real business problems, not just surface-level requests
Clients view you as a strategic partner, not a vendor
You drive repeatable, scalable engagements across large accounts
You elevate the perception of FM as a premium, trusted creative partner
You balance creative ambition with operational discipline
Minimum three years of experience across a combination of production (agency, production company, or studio), account management, custom content sales, or executive producing.
Demonstrated track record of running commercial productions end-to-end, including scoping, pricing, contracting, and margin management.
Working credibility across film, photography, and music. Deep expertise in at least one discipline and active fluency across the others is expected.
Strong commercial instincts, including the ability to evaluate briefs against budget, and identify projects that carry commercial risk
Exceptional client communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively with senior brand stakeholders, agency producers, and procurement teams.
