Job Description & How to Apply Below

FM is establishing a structured Custom Content offering across all three licensing brands to deliver original, commissioned work for clients whose needs go beyond existing content.

The Head of Custom Content will establish and lead FM's commissioned-work function across Film supply, Stills, and Musicbed. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Production, and Marketing, and holds end-to-end ownership of every custom project. This role blends sales and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate will act as a senior producer with strong sales insight, confidently engaging in client meetings, budget discussions, and production talks.

What You’ll Do
Client Engagement
  • Assume ownership of qualified custom opportunities handed over by Sales, and manage the client relationship through scope, contract, production, and delivery.

  • Lead discovery conversations to translate creative briefs into clearly defined, profitable, deliverable projects.

  • Serve as the single point of contact for clients throughout each project's lifecycle.

  • Develop long-term client relationships that convert one-off engagements into recurring custom partnerships.

Sales Partnership
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify custom-ready opportunities within the existing client base.

  • Co-lead pitches on complex or high-value deals where production expertise is required.

  • Develop the pitch materials, scoping frameworks, and pricing models that enable Sales to position custom work effectively.

  • Drive independent outbound activity, building a pipeline of target accounts, agencies, and production partners.

Production and Network Management
  • Match each project in cooperation with A&R with the appropriate filmmaker, photographer, or composer from FM's creative network, based on craft, availability, and commercial fit.

  • Oversee production end-to-end, including pre-production, execution, post-production, and delivery.

  • Establish and document repeatable processes that allow scaling as volume grows.

Navigate Complex Organizations
  • Align multiple stakeholders across client organizations

  • Balance competing priorities across regions, teams, and use cases

  • Maintain momentum across long, complex deal cycles

Act as a Market and Content Expert
  • Stay ahead of trends in content, production, and brand storytelling

  • Bring perspective on how enterprise brands are evolving their content strategies

  • Represent FM as a leader in high-quality, authentic creative

What Success Looks Like
  • You consistently uncover real business problems, not just surface-level requests

  • Clients view you as a strategic partner, not a vendor

  • You drive repeatable, scalable engagements across large accounts

  • You elevate the perception of FM as a premium, trusted creative partner

  • You balance creative ambition with operational discipline

  • Minimum three years of experience across a combination of production (agency, production company, or studio), account management, custom content sales, or executive producing.

  • Demonstrated track record of running commercial productions end-to-end, including scoping, pricing, contracting, and margin management.

  • Working credibility across film, photography, and music. Deep expertise in at least one discipline and active fluency across the others is expected.

  • Strong commercial instincts, including the ability to evaluate briefs against budget, and identify projects that carry commercial risk

  • Exceptional client communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively with senior brand stakeholders, agency producers, and procurement teams.

  • Self-directed and comfortable defining playbooks and processes
