The Global Account Director, Consumer Vertical is a senior position that develops and maintains business for significant global consumer accounts. The primary focus is selling and improving logistics solutions including road freight, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and other value‑added services.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan to maintain existing business and identify top opportunities.
- Manage named global consumer accounts in accordance with agreed financial and performance targets.
- Develop solutions for customers, leveraging DSV vertical structure and competencies into innovative developments.
- Work closely with operations to deliver high level of service to customers.
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account.
- Understand the customer’s buying process, business, and strategic, operational, and financial needs.
- Collaborate across all divisions within DSV to create custom solutions that deliver value.
- Maintain an open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keep the sponsor engaged.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in logistics and supply‑chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of recent global account sales experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the logistics and supply‑chain industry.
- Subject‑matter expert level knowledge of the industry.
- Proven track record of sales success within the industry.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Advanced mathematical skills for project development.
- Strong creative problem‑solving, analytical skills, and business acumen.
- Self‑motivated team player with ability to travel frequently.
Work involves use of hands, reaching, and standing; requires use of computer and telephone. Normal office environment with moderate noise.
CompensationSalary range $143,000 – $210,000 annually, with performance‑based remuneration and fringe benefits.
