Overview
The Senior Director Product Management is responsible for (1) managing the product management program for a broad product type of TTI's product line to provide the correct mix and inventory levels of products required to meet customer needs and sales requirements, (2) minimizing costs and maximizing profits through effective inventory management, purchasing decisions, and supplier relationships, (3) enhancing the image of TTI in the marketplace as the distributor of choice, and (4) achieving corporate sales, gross profit margin, and pre-tax goals.

Responsibilities- Develops and directs a product management work team that excels at managing inventory, maximizing profitability, and optimizing supplier relationships by hiring, training and leading qualified people; utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques; providing ongoing performance management; rewarding higher levels of performance; and providing training, development, and succession planning.
- Evaluates and revises inventory plans for the assigned products and suppliers to maintain a product mix that meets corporate financial objectives and customer requirements.
- Consults with TTI sales representatives regarding customer needs, product features, product availability, and cost issues to maximize potential for sales representative success.
- Manages budgeting and forecasting processes to fully utilize scrap dollars and minimize gross profit leakage.
- Removes obstacles, negotiates major contracts, and provides product solutions and advantages for suppliers and customers to position TTI as the preferred partner for suppliers and the best distributor for which to work in the industry.
- Reviews overall system hygiene for products within the group to ensure TTI systems and databases reflect accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date product information (increment quantity, minimum order quantities, costs, delivery information, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years of related industry experience is required, including experience in sales, sales management, marketing, product management, distribution, asset management, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) at the intermediate level preferred.
