West Monroe is seeking a Director to join our Organization People & Change practice within the Productivity & Workforce Transformation discipline
. This role is designed for a leader with a clear point of view on how organizations improve productivity—combining workforce analytics, process redesign, cost takeout, and AI-enabled workflow transformation to unlock measurable value.

Our Productivity & Workforce Transformation team focuses on helping clients redesign how work gets done at scale—improving labor efficiency, reducing cost, increasing throughput, and embedding AI into day-to-day operations.

What you’ll do:

Lead work transformation & cost takeout engagements

  • Lead client engagements focused on labor productivity, cost takeout, operating model improvement, and process redesign
  • Assess workflows, service models, and management systems to identify value leakage
  • Build quantified value cases using operational data, work measurement, and financial modeling
  • Translate opportunities into executable roadmaps with clear ownership, milestones, and value realization

Drive AI-enabled workflow transformation

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and decision support within business processes
  • Prioritize use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and adoption readiness
  • Redesign workflows that embed AI into how work gets done (including human-in-the-loop models)
  • Ensure initiatives are tied to measurable outcomes through KPI definition, tracking, and governance

Drive business development

  • Originate and close productivity/work transformation-focused engagements (e.g., labor optimization, cost takeout, AI-enabled workflow transformation)
  • Develop proposals, scopes, pricing approaches, and staffing models
  • Identify and shape follow-on opportunities by translating client pain points into quantified value stories
  • Partner across industry and technology teams to bring integrated solutions to market

Lead teams & grow the practice

  • Own engagement delivery, team leadership, quality, economics, and client satisfaction
  • Coach team members in productivity methods, structured problem solving, and executive communication
  • Contribute to productivity/workforce methodologies, tools, and go-to-market assets

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, operations, or transformation roles
  • Deep experience in productivity improvement, including labor efficiency, workforce analytics, cost takeout, or process transformation
  • Strong ability to build and communicate quantified business cases (workload analysis, capacity, cost, ROI)
  • Experience applying process improvement methods (e.g., lean, workflow analysis, operating model design)
  • Ability to connect AI (including generative AI and automation**)
** to practical workflow use cases and measurable outcomes
  • Track record of selling and delivering work in a consulting or advisory environment
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in one or more of West Monroe’s core industries preferred

What success looks like

  • You quickly identify and quantify productivity opportunities and mobilize teams to capture value
  • Engagements deliver measurable outcomes (cost reduction, labor efficiency, throughput improvement, capacity unlock)
  • Clients adopt AI-enabled workflows that drive sustained operational impact
  • You help grow the Productivity & Workforce Transformation discipline through delivery, mentorship, and business development
