Alcon is looking to hire a Calibration Scientist II team member. This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Sr. Associate II, Instrumentation & Calibration Technical Support (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing instruments that monitor environmental conditions in a manufacturing facility.

You will be expected to apply advanced technical knowledge, solve problems innovatively, and lead efforts to design custom devices with engineers.

This role is on-site in our Fort Worth, Texas location and a typical day would include:

• Perform highly specialized technical tasks and lead research initiatives to optimize project outcomes.
• Install, calibrate, test, and repair instruments and technologies that monitor environmental conditions, including control and measurement instruments on plant equipment.
• Inspect and test instruments like oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers to diagnose faults and ensure quality standards.
• Work with engineers to design and build custom instrument and control devices.
• Ensure smooth and efficient operational processes, supporting team performance and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ensure rigorous quality control, complete all required training, and commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs).
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
