Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Hydrogen Group is hiring a Contractor Onboarding & Compliance Specialist to own contractor onboarding, compliance and onsite oversight for a leading utilities client in the DFW area. You will be the person who keeps our contractor workforce compliant, documented and running smoothly, while providing a trusted onsite presence at our client's offices.
You will work across three contractor populations: an established group of administrative staff embedded at the client site, additional administrative contractors placed across the account, and a growing group of field-based contractors who require equipment and vehicle support.
What You'll DoContractor Lifecycle Management
- Run onboarding and offboarding end to end for every contractor across the account.
- Own I-9 and right-to-work verification, background checks and drug screening, keeping every record accurate and audit-ready.
- Maintain contractor documentation and compliance files so the account is always ready for review, not scrambling to prepare for one.
- Standardize processes as the contractor population grows, replacing manual, ad hoc steps with consistent workflows.
- Provide a dedicated, badged presence at the client site several days a week for our contractors.
- Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day delivery questions and contractor issues onsite.
- Report on contractor performance, delivery concerns and client feedback so problems are caught early.
- This is an oversight and coordination role. You will not have formal supervisory authority over client personnel.
- Administer the equipment and vehicle process for field-based contractors.
- Track and assign vehicles and equipment, maintaining clear custody records at all times.
- Support cost control, accountability for damage or loss, and accurate billing of equipment costs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contractor questions, concerns and retention issues.
- Coordinate with HR on sensitive matters such as contract non-renewals.
- Escalate any issue that could affect the client relationship promptly and clearly.
- Experience in operations, HR, staffing, consulting or construction, with hands-on contractor or workforce oversight.
- A track record of managing compliance documentation and records at volume.
- Comfort working onsite at a client location and building credibility through consistency, not sales pitches.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly around equipment custody and paperwork.
- Based in the DFW area, with the ability to work onsite at the client location three days a week.
You’ll take ownership of a high-visibility function on one of our largest client accounts, with real scope to shape how contractor operations run as the account grows. This is a role built for someone who takes pride in getting the operational details right.
