Role and Responsibilities
The Case Management Supervisor supports and guides a team of case managers who serve children placed in both kinship and unrelated foster homes. This position ensures that case management practices are aligned with the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and are grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-centered care. Working closely with the Program Director of Case Management, the Supervisor helps ensure consistent service delivery that promotes stability, healing, and permanency for children and families.
The Supervisor assists case managers in building trust-based relationships with caregivers, navigating challenges, and advocating for the unique needs of each child.
This role also involves supporting coordination across systems, including child welfare agencies (e.g., DFPS), schools, courts, mental health providers, and other community partners, to ensure children receive comprehensive and cohesive support. By fostering a strong, connected team and modeling the agency’s core values, the Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting staff, reducing placement disruptions, and improving outcomes for children and families in care.
Duties- Provide mentoring and support for case managers, ensuring services align with trauma-informed principles and comply with external contracts and licensing regulations. This includes coordination of admissions, case planning, and discharges in accordance with SSCCs, Minimum Standards, and RCCL.
- Support case managers in maintaining a child- and family-centered approach to service delivery, emphasizing emotional safety, positive relationships, and appropriate structure.
- Collaborate with professional agencies and partners in a timely and respectful manner that reflects the values of Divinity Family Services.
- Train and support new employees by modeling strong leadership, offering guidance, and reinforcing relational and strength-based practices.
- Foster a supportive team culture that reflects the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to responsive caregiving.
- Review documentation to ensure high-quality case planning that includes the child’s voice, strengths, and individualized goals, including but not limited to PARs, service plans, therapy notes, and case notes.
- Ensure case management services meet all compliance standards, including Minimum Standards, contracts, RCCL, and SSCC guidelines.
- Maintain open communication with the Program Director of Case Management regarding concerns, incident reports (IRs/SIRs), or family challenges, offering thoughtful recommendations and solutions.
- Provide data and progress updates to the Program Director of Case Management for ongoing quality assurance and reporting.
- Conduct field visits with team members, including at least one shadowed visit per case manager every six months, to support quality of care and consistency.
- Prepare staff performance reviews with constructive, growth-focused feedback.
- Assist case managers in developing coverage plans for PTO and submit those plans to the Program Director of Case Management.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
The employee must meet the minimum age requirements for full-time work in accordance with Texas child labor law and the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. - Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
- Previous work in the foster care system or understanding of the Texas DFPS system is preferred.
- Understanding of trauma-informed care and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) preferred or willingness to be trained.
- Working knowledge of the Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agencies is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
- Leadership experience preferred.
