Preconstruction Manager

Preconstruction Manager – responsible for all preconstruction estimating services from initial programmatic intent through construction documents pricing for assigned projects, including feasibility studies, budgets, comparative studies, value engineering, and presentation of the same to internal and external clients.

• Provide a complete suite of estimating services described above with minimal oversight.
• Estimate a variety of building types.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing and completing tasks efficiently.
• Present technical and financial information to stakeholders, including changes from previously presented information.
• Execute the majority of work in an office environment, while visiting job sites as necessary and complying with safety equipment requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (required).
• Five to seven years of related work experience, with at least two years in estimating (required).
• Read construction drawings and specifications and identify missing elements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, analysis of technical information, market and trade trends, and geotechnical reports.
• Coordinate with stakeholders (developers, architects, subcontractors, and HITT Operations) throughout the design‑assist process, including attendance at design meetings as a HITT representative during preconstruction phase services.
• Provide oversight to an Assistant Preconstruction Manager/Assistant Estimator.
• Make decisions under tight deadlines, sometimes with incomplete information.
• Exhibit business sense, forge partnerships with subcontractors, analyze risk, and distribute documents without administrative assistance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (high proficiency in Excel), On Screen Take‑off (OST), Adobe products, and Bluebeam Building Connected (preferred).
• Demonstrate integrity consistent with company values.
