About the JobThe Taktical Control Specialist (Construction Scheduler) builds and maintains detailed construction schedules, analyzes schedule logic, tracks progress, and identifies risks. This role supports project teams with planning, forecasting, and recovery strategies, ensuring schedules align with contractual requirements and best practices. The specialist provides schedule updates, reports, and visual presentations, working closely with project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Validate initial project phasing plans utilizing JPI Production System best practice.
- Confirm that the upstream project phasing plan remains accurate based on project requirements.
- Create visuals for site phases, building rough and finish zones.
- Generate final outputs for site stages, rough and finish zones for the project.
- Setup and maintain detailed construction schedules using OPC.
- Build OPC plans for projects following predefined nomenclature for stage, sequence, and layers.
- Analyze schedule logic, sequencing, and constraints, and run plan health diagnostics.
- Track progress, identify schedule risks and impacts, and provide updates, reports, and visual presentations.
- Support project teams with planning, forecasting, and recovery strategies.
- Ensure schedules align with contractual requirements and best practices.
- Review OPC daily for allocated projects to capture the latest field progress.
- Update and resequence OPC plans based on feedback from Technical Project Lead and Project Construction Manager.
- Authorize changes to OPC plans in consultation with the Technical Project Lead and Project Construction Manager.
- Operate and troubleshoot OPC as required.
- Verify and validate production reports generated by status updates to OPC.
- Act as a representative and advocate of JPI’s culture and guiding principles.
- Collaborate closely with RT Ops and field ops teams to manage and troubleshoot schedules.
Physical Requirements
- 2–5 years of construction experience in one or more of the following roles:
Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer. - 1–2 years of experience building and maintaining schedules with construction knowledge, or 2–5 years of construction scheduling experience without construction management experience.
- Construction‑related degree preferred; equivalent real‑world construction experience acceptable.
- Non‑construction degrees without construction or scheduling experience will not be considered.
