Description

The Construction Project Manager leads the successful delivery of complex design-build, EPC, construction management, and program management projects from preconstruction through commissioning, turnover, and warranty. This role oversees all aspects of project execution, including safety, quality, schedule, cost management, procurement, contract administration, subcontractor and supplier performance, risk management, client relationships, field operations, and project closeout.

This manager will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver highly technical facilities with an emphasis on reliability, resiliency, constructability, and operational performance. The role oversees the execution of critical project milestones—preconstruction planning, site development, equipment procurement, installation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure, commissioning, and operational readiness—while ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry standards, and project objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the company’s safety programs, trainings, and policies, and promote and manage Safety & Health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day construction activities and successfully execute one or more projects simultaneously.
  • Provide direction in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishing critical project objectives.
  • Develop and manage client relationships while interfacing with the client for proposals and project‑related items.
  • Participate in internal and external project risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
  • Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Participate in the risk review process.
  • Implement assigned sections of the Project Execution Plan, including construction execution, quality assurance, safety & health, subcontracting, staffing, organization, and procurement plans.
  • Develop construction staffing plans, train project teams, coordinate activities across global practices, and facilitate efficient cost‑effective staff utilization.
  • Oversee development of the project plan for site layout, mobilization, demobilization, and support implementation.
  • Verify all applicable project permits are secured in accordance with requirements.
  • Direct and oversee the downstream RFP and bid process and prepare detailed scope of work documents for subcontractor and client contracts.
  • Review, approve, and communicate internal and external reports including budgeting, cash flow forecast, and status reports.
  • Present reports to Project Manager, Program Manager, and executive management as required.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to establish development and distribution of engineering deliverables per schedule and requirements.
  • Develop processes and manage downstream contract administration, including RFI’s, submittals, change management, contract closeout, documentation, and claims mitigation.
  • Oversee invoicing processes for prime contract, subcontractor, and client contractor services.
  • Coordinate and facilitate client, supplier, and company commissioning and startup teams as needed.
  • Implement, audit, and oversee project documentation.
  • Confirm project and subcontractor insurance, taxes/duties, licensures, and bonding requirements.
  • Perform project safety, quality, progress, and financial audits and assessments as required.
  • Oversee and participate in the project‑specific non-conformance reporting process.
  • Facilitate project cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structure establishment, project set‑up and closeout, and field progress tracking specific to construction and program level activities.
  • Develop and oversee materials receiving and management process, including inventory control, receipt of goods, storage, and transportation.
  • Review contract documents with field staff to verify compliance of subcontractors and client contractors for safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Direct project turnover documentation, warranty administration, closeout, and record‑keeping/retention processes and procedures.
