Role Description- Administer and enforce the project-specific Safety Program.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and document findings.
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee and subcontractor safety orientations.
- Lead and participate in weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), activity hazard assessments, and safe work plans.
- Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure required safety signage, barricades, and site controls are maintained.
- Assist project management in planning high-risk activities and developing mitigation measures.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage events and prepare reports.
- Maintain project safety records, training documentation, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
- Serve as the primary safety contact for project personnel, owners, and regulatory agencies during site visits or inspections.
- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and field engagement.
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience, preferably on commercial construction projects.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
