Job Overview
Ryan Companies US, Inc. is hiring a traveling Assistant Superintendent in Dallas, TX. The role involves managing subcontractor performance, developing CPM schedules, overseeing general construction budgets and safety programs, reviewing design documents, coordinating procurement, QC, value engineering, and communicating across the project team.
Responsibilities- Manage subcontractor performance.
- Develop and track CPM schedules.
- Manage overall general construction budgets and safety programs.
- Comprehend all design documents and review shop drawings.
- Develop material procurement lists and incorporate them into the master schedule.
- Establish and monitor QC program.
- Value–engineer throughout projects.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with all project team members.
- Make sound decisions and seek creative solutions to problems using available resources.
- Create Raving Fans and sell additional work.
- Travel for projects as needed.
- 3–5 years of on‑site construction management experience.
- Post‑high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random testing.
- Supervision skills and ability to mentor subordinates.
- Scheduling experience using MS Project and/or Primavera.
- Knowledge of current building codes and familiarity with the local construction market.
- Ability to speak Spanish (a plus but not required).
