This role will be designated for Discovery Land Company’s vertical construction division:
Maverick Golf & Ranch Club, set in Fort Worth, TX.

Maverick Golf & Ranch Club is looking for an Assistant Project/Warranty Manager to join the Construction/Development Department.

The purpose of the Assistant Project/Warranty Manager role is to assist in the project management of all residential construction projects as assigned.

In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the assistance of the assigned project(s) estimating, bidding, buyout, budget management, cost control and per project profit & losses.
  • Take lead as directed by project management team on any of the above.
  • Maintain and support client communications during the home building process.
  • Take the lead construction management software (Procore) for the entire build cycle. Ensure quality of data and reinforce superintendent use.
  • Maintain project budgets and schedules as provided by the project manager.
  • Regularly use construction management software to manage projects, including Budgets, Change Events and Change Orders, Meetings, RFI’s, Submittals, Observations and Inspections, Reporting, Punch List and other tools.
  • Support and assume the management of weekly meetings with project stakeholders including, OAC Meetings, Executive reporting, Design coordination, Foreman and Subcontractor meetings, Safety Talks, Monthly PM reviews and all other required project coordination meetings.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the Procurement Logs, and successfully manage the buyout, lead-time, delivery and installation schedules.
  • Assist the project manager in tracking of the project milestone schedules and delivery dates for all assigned projects.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors. Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Constantly review, drive, and manage site cleanliness, jobsite material management, laydown yards, and traffic flow through the club and project.
  • Perform field inspections to ensure quality control based on design intent and plans.
  • Perform daily field safety walks and observations.
  • Review and or draft subcontractor’s scopes of work for project management review.
  • Review and read all construction documents; work toward a comprehensive understanding of all trades and plan notations.
  • Preform take off’s and assist in the direct procurement of material as assigned.
  • Critically and qualitatively analyze subcontractor proposals for conformance with the plan set and design criteria.
  • Work directly with design consultants to manage deliverables.
  • Delegate to other project management staff to support other assigned projects (ie. Submittals, Payment Applications, Transmittals, Change Orders).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in field applicable to position and/or applicable work experience.
  • Construction Management certification preferred.
  • Procore Certification preferred.
  • OSHA 30 experience.
  • At least 5 years working history applicable to position.
  • Strong preference to candidates with luxury residential construction experience; commercial experience and process management also preferred.
  • Prefer competency or familiarity with Sage Timberline.
  • Competency with Word, Excel, Publisher, Project, Vizio.
  • Must be familiar with the phases of horizontal construction, especially residential.
  • Must be familiar with CSI cost-code divisions.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Ability to listen and respond to multiple players, providing feedback and recommendations as required to most effectively meet project needs.
  • Must conduct business in a professional and ethical manner with all team members, potential buyers, external business associates and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
