Web Writer

My friends at Canadian Running magazine are hiring a web writer. Toronto-based candidates are preferred, but outstanding offsite candidates will also be considered.

Do you write good? Do you run good? Are you passionate about both? Not either, has to be both.

Web writer (full-time), Canadian Running

Canadian Running, the biggest and most exciting publication in Canadian endurance sports, is hiring! We are looking for an energetic, deadline-driven and passionate team player for the challenging and fun position of web writer. The successful candidate will be a competent and careful writer, able to efficiently produce exciting and informative stories about topics runners love. This person will be interested in writing race coverage, gear reviews, nutrition, inspiring personal stories and running humour, and should be able to demonstrate familiarity with the world of Canadian and international elite running.

They will also be conversant with Word Press, as well as be able to handle photo and video content and effectively use social media.

We are looking for a team player who can take direction and also be self-critical, yet independently bring new ideas to the table every day. To fulfill this role, you must be an active runner, acquainted with the Canadian running scene and knowledgeable about trends in the sport.

Candidates who can work full-time in our Toronto office are strongly preferred, but outstanding offsite candidates will be considered.
