The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is seeking an Assistant Conductor. Applicants must have legal permission to work in the US and there is no age limit for applicants. Candidates should submit their applications by November 6, 2026. Required materials include a cover letter, current resume, two letters of recommendation, contact information for three professional references, and video samples not exceeding 15 minutes that showcase their recent work.
The video should include at least two contrasting repertoire styles and must be filmed from the orchestra's perspective. Auditions will be held at the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's Cliburn Rehearsal Hall. Initial applicants will be notified by December 11, 2026, if they are selected as finalists. Finalists will conduct the orchestra on January 19, 2027, and will have an interview with the FWSO administration on January 20, 2027.
Candidates are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, meals, and related expenses. The season for this position runs from September 1, 2027, to July 22, 2028.
