Tuesday: 9:15am–1:15pm
Wednesday: 4:15pm–8:15pm
Thursday: 9:15am–1:15pm
Saturday: 9:15am–6:15pm

Fort Worth Public Library is hiring a part‑time Customer Service Representative I to provide great customer service at the Meadowbrook Library.
The ideal candidate is friendly, helpful, extremely organised, enthusiastic about bringing library services to all members of the community, and comfortable working with diverse populations including people of all ages, backgrounds, dispositions, and abilities.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- No previous experience required
- Must pass a physical exam
- At least two years of customer service experience
- Ability to communicate with customers in Spanish
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends
- Ability to work at/travel to various locations
- Providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to customers
- Checking library materials in and out; issuing library cards
- Conducting customer payment transactions and operating a cash register
- Answering customer questions about library policies, procedures and accounts
- Answering basic reference, reader’s advisory and general usage questions
- Assisting with library programs and outreach as needed
Depending on assignment, positions typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions.
Sedentary work: possibly up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, negligible frequently, or constantly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
