Job Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare pizza and related products.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Participate in orientation and on‑the‑job training.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person.
- Comprehend and follow written instructions.
- Use a computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Strong mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly; make correct monetary change.
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Motor coordination and quick, precise movements; ability to work with both hands.
- Ability to understand and follow correct written instructions.
- Proficiency with a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry.
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
- Sudden changes in temperature during work.
- Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Standing for most tasks; walking short distances on ceramic tile, bricks, or linoleum; stepping up to furniture between 36" and 48" high.
- Sitting for paperwork in an office at a desk or table.
- Handling lifts up to 50 pounds; carrying large cans (3 lb 7 oz) and pizza sauce (30 lb); carrying trays of dough (~12 lb each).
- Pushing or pulling trays on dollies; force required up to 7.5 lb.
- Occasional climbing stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
- Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching above 72" to operate oven controls or change prices on signs; reaching down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; reaching forward for toppings and cleaning.
- Continuous use of hands with eye‑hand coordination for shaping dough, using pizza peel and cutter, and assembling cardboard boxes.
