Position Title: Dental Assistant
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Private Practice)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $15–$18 per hour (based on experience and certifications)
Schedule: 5 days per week
Job Summary We are a well-established, independent dental practice in Fort Worth, Texas, dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a warm and supportive environment. We are seeking a reliable, positive, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient patient flow, delivering excellent chairside support, and helping create comfortable, positive experiences for every patient.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for a variety of dental procedures (general, restorative, cosmetic, extractions, implants, Invisalign, etc.)
- Provide direct chairside assistance to the dentist during all procedures
- Take high-quality digital x-rays (FMX, bitewings, periapicals), intraoral photos, and impressions/scans as needed
- Perform sterilization, disinfection, and maintenance of instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Comfort patients, explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner, and provide post-operative instructions
- Update patient electronic charts, document treatments accurately, and maintain organized records
- Assist with basic front-office tasks when necessary (patient check-in/out, scheduling, phone support)
- Keep clinical areas clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient
- Support infection control protocols and maintain a safe, welcoming clinical environment
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current CPR certification
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred (but we welcome motivated newer assistants with strong potential and a willingness to learn)
- Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to multitask in a busy yet rewarding setting
- Team-player attitude with a genuine passion for helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Competitive hourly pay of $15–$18 based on experience
