Senior Architect - Aerospace & Industrial
Location:

Description
The Senior Architect will lead project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of project types including aerospace, industrial, manufacturing facilities. Design build experience is preferred with knowledge of Hangar, Paint Facilities, Clean Rooms, Sensitive Compartment Information Facilities, and Energetics. Sr. Architect role will be forward facing with client, leading production work, and managing design team as subject matter expert in these fields.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion
- Developing, modifying, and reviewing production drawings for various facilities
- Participating in development of project schedule, scope, budget, staffing planning, and construction planning
- Applying expert knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures
- Finding and developing non-standard design solutions for complex projects
- Quality reviewing production drawings and construction administration
- Leading field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations for clients
- Preparing and presenting technical reports for clients and industry publications
- Building relationships with existing clients, customers, and contractors
- Participating in sales and marketing efforts
- Leading the development of cost proposals and qualification statements
- Providing leadership, guidance, and instruction to the architectural practice
- Ensuring adherence to QA/QC processes
- Ensuring effective communication with other architectural teams
- Ensuring compliance with company and site safety policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program and 8 years related experience
- Master Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program and 7 years related experience
- Minimum eight years of architectural experience preferred
- Registered architect preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills is preferred
- Expert knowledge of standard architectural concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a problem-solving environment
- Expert software and computer skills preferred
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organization
- Experience in leading design teams for large, complex projects
- Ability to conduct detailed quality reviews of architectural documents
- Experience with construction phase activities
- Ability to travel
