Position SummaryWe currently have an opening in our Architecture studio for a Designer I with 0-3 years' experience. This person would join our team in either our Dallas or our San Antonio studio. The position is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for hybrid work.
The Designer I role is best suited for a new graduate or an early-career designer with limited professional experience who is ready to contribute meaningfully to design, documentation, and coordination of both domestic and international project work under the guidance of senior staff. The Designer I will be expected to work on multiple aspects of project development while learning independence and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of design concepts and project documentation across all phases.
- Prepare presentation materials, renderings, diagrams, and physical/3D models.
- Produce drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Research materials, building systems, codes, and sustainable design strategies.
- Participate in design charrettes, internal critiques, and client meetings.
- Support project delivery during construction administration.
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch, or equivalent).
- 0-3 years' of relevant professional experience in an architectural firm environment.
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating creative and technical skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Internship experience in commercial architecture firm(s), especially those focused on sports, entertainment, or hospitality design.
- Proficiency in Revit or Rhino3D.
- Proficiency in Enscape, Lumion, or other rendering tools.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Intention to progress toward professional licensure.
- Exposure to sustainable design standards (LEED, WELL, LBC, or similar).
- Proficiency in languages other than English.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing to collaborative project teams.
- Experience in the implementation and use of AI and other emerging technologies, especially with an architectural focus.
